As a part of the Com-In team, the designer ensures all designs and displays adhere to IKEA standards, contributing to an improved customer experience. Success in this role involves a blend of creative insight, practical design application, and a thorough understanding of interior design trends and customer needs. The designer collaborates with other teams such as Visual Merchandising and participates in varied design projects to enhance store offerings. What You Will Do: Commercial - Use home furnishing competence to create home furnishing solutions in room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity. - Actively contribute to gathering insights from home visit interviews and translate this knowledge into locally relevant, functional, commercial home furnishing solutions that exceed customer expectations. - Stay up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing, retailing, and trends to contribute in workshops for generating creative ideas. - Assist in planning in-house projects and prepare drawings and perspectives according to IKEA Concept. - Implement and maintain all interiors and displays in the showroom according to IKEA standards. - Conduct daily inspection of the room setting and ensure that damages are corrected immediately. - Support the planning and implementation of the store commercial calendar. - Maintain all areas in the store according to IKEA standards while following IKEA manuals to produce functional home furnishing solutions. Operational - Participate in other projects relating to store activities as needed, such as rebuilding business areas based on range feedback or performance issues. - Assist Visual Merchandisers in projects or activities planned for the store. Customers - Show customers the extension of the range coordination along with various ideas and proposals for different room settings that are complete and realistic with accessories. - Plan and decorate room settings to be inspirational for customers and offer effective home furnishing solutions. Required Skills To Be Successful: - Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. - Exceptional design and creative skills with attention to detail. - Deep knowledge of home furnishing, market, social trends, and fashion. - Strong collaboration and teamwork orientation with respect for diversity. What Qualifies You For The Role: - Degree or Diploma in Interior Designing or Architecture. - 0-2 years of experience in interior design firms or related fields. - Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup is a plus. - Strong drafting, space planning, interior, and architectural design skills.
