Freelance Accountant (Full-Time, Hybrid) — Dubai, UAE

NÓRA LLC, a growing e-commerce business based in Dubai, is looking for a detail-oriented, deadline-driven Accountant to own our day-to-day finance function on a full-time freelance basis. If you take pride in accurate, efficient, error-free books and bring a genuine can-do attitude, we'd love to hear from you. What you'll do: • Handle accounting and bookkeeping: data entry, classification, and reconciliation of all bank transactions • Reconcile Shopify and payment gateways (e.g. Stripe) • Reconcile supplier and retail/wholesale partner accounts and record operational expenses • Prepare and submit daily P&L reports and monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) on schedule • Complete full platform reconciliations each month, including cash transactions • Maintain accurate records and trackers for VAT/FTA tax filing • Coordinate with vendors, auditors, and tax advisors • Continuously improve processes to make them more efficient and error-free Must-have requirements: • Hands-on experience with Shopify and payment gateway reconciliation • Proficiency with QuickBooks • 5+ years of experience with an e-commerce business, or professional accounting experience at a Big 4 firm — UAE-based • Strong understanding of UAE local tax and VAT rules for accurate and compliant tax/VAT filing • Able to provide references and case studies from past projects, previous roles, or clients Education & qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA) is a strong advantage What we're looking for in you: • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy • Reliable — you consistently meet financial reporting deadlines • Motivated to streamline processes and eliminate errors • A proactive, can-do problem solver • Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills and comfort working with financial data • High level of discretion and confidentiality with sensitive financial information • Strong written and verbal communication in English • Able to work independently and commit to this role on a full-time, exclusive basis • Available during UAE working hours (9 AM–6 PM GST) What we offer: • Competitive compensation • Hybrid flexibility • The chance to shape the finance function of a fast-growing e-commerce brand Show more Show less
