Consulting Architect - Observability

What is the Role We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced Senior Consulting Architect to join our Global Capability Center. This senior role is critical to the success of our global customers, focusing on the strategic design and hands-on implementation of the Elastic Stack with focus on Search AI. You will serve as a trusted technical architect and consultant, working with complex enterprise environments to translate business challenges into robust, scalable, and value-driven Elastic solutions. The role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, senior-level consulting acumen, and the ability to work effectively across time zones, with both remote support and required on-site client engagement. What You Will Be Doing As a member of our professional services team you will deliver Elastic solutions and Elastic stack expertise to drive customer business value from our products. Work with clients to facilitate strategy, roadmap, design, and sizing in workshops. You will apply your soft skills to advocate for your customers, build relationships and exhibit strong communications skills. Comfortability working remotely or on-site in a highly distributed team. Your activities will include end-to-end delivery of ground-breaking Elastic projects to our customers, as well as development of proof-of-concepts that highlight the value of the Elastic Stack and its solutions. Other topics will include Elastic solutions adaption and acceleration along with data modeling, query development and optimization, cluster tuning and scaling with a focus on fast search and analytics at scale. Daily tasks include driving and handling the objectives, requirements gathering, project tasks, project status, dependencies, and timelines, to ensure engagements are delivered optimally and on time while meeting and exceeding the customer objectives. Your goal is to make your customers love Elastic and achieve amazing value from the platform! Work across teams with engineering, product management, and support teams to identify feature improvements, extensions, and product defects. Facilitate feedback from the field back to the product. Engage with the Elastic Sales team to scope opportunities while assessing technical risks, questions, or concerns. Be a mentor to your team members, while also learning from them to accelerate your skills What You Bring Essential Qualifications - Elastic Certification: Required – Active Elastic Observability Engineer certification is mandatory. - Minimum of 7 years as a Consulting Architect or senior IT functional leadership experience - Consulting History: A strong history of working as a Consultant delivering professional services engagements in complex enterprise environments. - Domain Expertise: Proven experience in deploying solutions using Elastic core domain: Enterprise Observability. - Fleet and agent installation policies, and scalability considerations. - Knowledge in deploying enterprise observability (Metrics and Logs) solutions at scale (Application performance monitoring (APM), User experience monitoring (UEM), Infrastructure optimization, Network visibility and monitoring). - Experience leading observability projects at both the architectural and program level. - Experience working with monitoring tools that integrate into service management. - Deep understanding of distributed architecture including application, database and systems. - Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with on-prem systems and/or major public/private cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Technical Depth: Hands-on experience in Linux, networking, security, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation. - Programming/Scripting: Experience utilizing programming or scripting languages in a corporate environment (e.g., Python, Javascript, Go). - Communication: Exceptional customer advocacy, relationship-building, and soft skills including whiteboarding and driving architectural conversations.
