The Role We are looking for a highly strategic, visionary, and technically adept Head of Product, North America Payments. In this executive-level role, you will be the driving force behind our regional payments strategy, leveraging advanced technologies like AI and ML to shape the future of our product offerings. You will lead a high-performing team of Product Managers and Product Leaders, partnering closely with Engineering, Partnerships, and Commercial teams to deliver solutions that meet the complex needs of our enterprise customers. What You’ll Do - Define the Strategy: Craft and execute a compelling product strategy for Adyen payments in the North America region, applying a strong, sharp product sense to every decision. - Drive Cross-Functional Success: Operate seamlessly with cross-functional (XFN) partners across Engineering, Partnerships, Commercial and other XFN teams to align roadmaps and deliver high-impact products. - Build and Lead a World-Class Team: Lead, mentor, and scale a strong organization of Product Managers and Product Leaders, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and speed. - Champion the Customer: Act as a strategic partner to our most important clients. You will regularly present the product roadmap to key strategic customers, listen deeply to their needs, and help them navigate and leverage the Adyen Payments product vision. Who You Are - An Experienced Product Leader: You bring 15+ years of experience in the technology industry, with at least 8 years operating in a senior product leadership role (e.g., Director, VP, or Head of Product). - A Proven Technology Executive: You have a demonstrated track record of leading product organizations and driving massive scale at a top-tier technology company. - Technically Adept: You possess a strong technical background and are highly comfortable engaging in deep technical architecture discussions with senior engineering leaders. A background in software engineering is a significant plus. - An AI / ML Native: You have demonstrable experience leading AI and ML-powered product initiatives. You have hands-on, practical experience building with AI agents, copilots, and/or embedding ML models into core products. - Customer-Centric & Payments Obsessed: You are deeply passionate about the payments ecosystem. You are excited to spend time on the ground with customers to learn about their complex payment workflows and needs. - Strategic & Impactful: You are a strategic thinker who can connect a high-level, multi-year vision to a tangible, measurable roadmap—and you know how to inspire an entire organization to execute on it. - Industry Expert: Prior leadership experience in fintech and/or payments is highly desirable.
