As Purchasing Clerk, my scope of work includes: Assist the Purchasing Manager in ensuring that purchasing practices meet the requirements of Six Senses guidelines. Assess vendors and market. Support on ordering, stock takes and storage to be done at the required times and ensure all stock is on hand, is of the right quality and properly stored in line with Six Senses standards. Instill a fair and transparent Vendor/Supplier Vetting process and hold our vendors/suppliers to our Sustainability and Eat With Six Senses guidelines. Support in engaging with local Farmers Market and make purchasing trip to local farmers, bakers and fishermen in order to help grow local community vendors/suppliers before choosing large global vendors/suppliers. Support with cash float and receipt control for the farmer markets, local farmers, bakers and fishermen as they often are unable to offer credit facilities. Visit our vendor distribution, processing or place of business yearly. Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes. Maintain documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards. A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements. Qualifications To execute the position of Purchasing Clerk, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and at least 2 years' experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: High school diploma or equivalent. Have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
