📢 Job Opportunity: Health & Safety Officer, UAE AMZL WHS 📢 🏢 Position: Health & Safety Officer 📍 Location: Abu Dhabi / Dubai, UAE 💼 Department: Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) 🆔 Job ID: 2686556 🔍 Job Description: Amazon is looking for a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Officer to join our team. As we continue to grow year-on-year, we need to work smart to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated, and empowered. To help us achieve this, we’re seeking a driven WHS Officer with a Bias for Action to step in and help drive health and safety across our delivery stations in Abu Dhabi / Dubai. In this crucial WHS position, you’ll report to the Country WHS Manager. 🌟 Responsibilities: - Lead site risk assessments for current and new activities. - Establish site WHS training matrix. - Lead implementation of site-specific WHS standards and guidelines. - Lead implementation of site WHS objectives and programs. - Promote a safe culture among employees by providing daily WHS content during shift briefings/standup meetings. - Perform frequent site safety audits to identify non-compliance equipment and/or processes and work with the Operations team to implement solutions. - Conduct daily and weekly WHS audits, such as GEMBA walks, area audits, vehicle and driver inspections. - Attend to incidents and occupational injury cases on site. - Guide and assist area managers on incident investigations, Gensuite write-ups, and communication of lessons learned. - Assist Ops team in Gensuite follow-ups and CAPA creation. Audit record-keeping practices and ensure Gensuite entries align with global WHS standards and local regulations. - Ensure PPE inventory at the site and coordinate with procurement for order placement. - Ensure completion of basic fire fighting and first aid training. - Complete daily Trailer Dock Release (TDR) inspections and communications. - Monitor, close out, and support the Daily Action Tracking System. - Participate in site management safety walks and provide insight into unsafe acts and conditions to management. - Provide daily updates to the Country WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, AO's, ATS, network actions, etc. - Prepare WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write-ups, and ATS creation. - Review and sign off on the Daily Permit to Work, working with the operational and facilities team. - Lead WHS-related procurement and follow up on-site. - Prepare risk assessments and emergency response plans. - Manage preparation and completion of emergency drills, medi-evac drills, and preparing drill records. - Establish, monitor, and support Heat Index. - Provide support to site-specific requests, unplanned events, and activities. - On-the-Road experience. - Excellent with computers and data analysis. 🌟 About the Team: Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
