Dubai Modern School - Hiring Head of Department (Science) Location: Dubai, U.A.E.

Job responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

• Oversee the Science Department, ensuring high-quality instruction and curriculum implementation.
• Mentor and support science teachers, providing guidance and professional development.
• Develop and monitor the department budget and resources.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the department.

Curriculum Development and Implementation:

• Design and implement a comprehensive science curriculum aligned with the US Curriculum standards.
• Evaluate and update curriculum materials regularly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the science curriculum.

Student Engagement and Performance:

• Monitor and evaluate student performance and progress in science subjects.
• Organize and manage science-related events, projects, and experiments.
• Provide individualized support and enrichment opportunities for students with varying levels of ability.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school in UAE, familiar with the US curriculum.
