Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Industry: Autonomous and Unmanned Land and Maritime Platforms
EmiraTalent's client, a leading company in the design, development, and manufacturing of autonomous platforms for Defense, Civil Defence, Security, and Fire and Rescue sectors, is looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to drive their financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with growth objectives, ensuring sustainability and profitability across diverse operations.
- Multi-Jurisdictional Tax Management: Oversee all tax-related matters, including VAT, across multiple jurisdictions. Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, optimize tax efficiency, and manage tax risks.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards in various jurisdictions. Manage internal and external audits, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Operational Efficiency: Streamline financial processes to enhance operational efficiency. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team. Foster a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align financial strategies with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with a strong background in multi-jurisdictional tax and VAT matters.
- Extensive knowledge of international tax laws and VAT regulations.
- Proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and drive compliance.
- Experience in the defense, security, or high-tech sectors is advantageous but not essential.
