📢 Job Opportunity: Facilities Manager / Project Manager 📢 🔍 Job Description: To oversee and provide direct management and supervision to personnel involved in the maintenance and repair of facilities. 📋 Accountabilities: 1. Strategy: - Produce results as per plans and financial targets through effective resource management. - Work with the Senior Facilities Manager to manage project development, including project scope, goals, and deliverables. - Recommend budget changes where necessary and prepare draft project timelines and milestones, identifying project dependencies and critical paths. 2. Management: - Proactively communicate with the Senior FM on the status of projects, subcontractor performance, changes in project scope, and other key information. - Communicate project expectations to team members. - Estimate and oversee resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, determine and assess the need for additional staff, and coordinate the recruitment of labor as needed. - Assist with coordination of schedules. - Provide training support, coaching, mentoring, and oversee project team members. - Help manage or allocate staffing resources needed to complete the job in a timely fashion. - Oversee job progress and proactively communicate potential issues or problems. - Study and evaluate new maintenance procedures, techniques, and equipment for possible implementation. - Conduct regular facility inspections and implement good practices to improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs. - Evaluate contractual SLA/KPI and make improvement plans to manage contract cost effectively and achieve the KPI/SLA. - Implement HITEK solutions for monitoring energy consumption and identify possibilities for energy reduction. - Implement and integrate IOT solutions. 3. Business Development: - Establish and maintain effective business relationships with existing customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. - Identify, research, and target new business opportunities. - Develop solid quality proposals that meet the requirements of the customers. - Propagate the “Farnek Way” of doing business (Smart & Green). 4. Operational: - Develop, implement, and communicate improved processes, policies, and procedures on a continuous basis. - Develop and review maintenance plans that meet the requirements of the facilities and clients adhering to global standards. - Oversee cleaning, maintenance, and repair operations across operational and corporate sites. - Ensure the availability of materials, critical spares, uniforms, and other essential items coordinating with the procurement team. - Monitor the performance of services and develop a plan for timely completion of work orders as per agreed SLA. - Develop a Risk Register and analyze it periodically to prepare an improvement plan. - Ensure timely entry of project notes into the database. 5. Financial: - Recommend budget changes where necessary and prepare draft project timelines and milestones. - Ensure budgets of all projects are adhered to. - Ensure accurate invoicing and collection in the prescribed time. 6. HSEQ and Compliance: - Ensure all safety standards are adhered to, minimizing accident risk. - Comply with all U.A.E. laws and associated governing bodies. - Ensure quality is compliant with all international standards, especially ISO. 📊 Key Performance Indicators: - TBD by manager. 🎓 Qualifications: - Bachelors/Masters in FM/Engineering. 💼 Experience: - 5+ years in a senior Technical Services Capacity. - 1+ years in a Managerial Role. 🔧 Skills: - Problem Solving - Technical Management - Planning and Organising - Project Management - Excellent Verbal and Written Communication - Presentation Skills - Network Management (Desirable) - Vendor Management - Crisis Management - Team Management - Customer Service Skills - Financial Nous - Budgeting
