Description:

- Ensure the profitability of the repair estimate by negotiating with insurance companies/customers.
- Ensure the quality of the repair by obtaining approval for replacing mandatory spare parts, with written agreement from insurance surveyors.
- Highlight telephonic approvals on the estimate with all details and sign by yourself.
- Maximize conversion of estimates into body repair business.
- Prepare estimates based on job descriptions, police reports, and customer requests.
- Prepare supplementary estimates after detailed inspection.
- Follow labor guidelines while preparing the estimate.
- Coordinate with parts department for pricing and availability.
- Fax/email estimates to insurance companies, follow up, negotiate, and get necessary approvals.
- Highlight negotiated labor charges, parts, and repair operations, and update the estimate.
- Ensure availability of photos before handing over the estimate to the service advisor and send the same to the costing clerk for filing.
- Follow up with insurance companies for inspections/surveys/approvals and inform customers in case of delays.
- Update the status of prepared estimates on the system until waiting for LPO/approved stage and hand over the estimate to the service advisor.
- Restrict non-approved/canceled/rejected estimates, total loss advice letters, unfair demands of insurance companies, and delays or difficulties in getting approvals to the superior’s knowledge "on time."
- Attach the supplementary estimate with the job card, highlight the supplementary approval details on the job card with a stamp, and update the details on the system with date and time.

Qualifications:

- I.T.I/Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical
- 3 to 5 years of experience as an Estimator/Denting Foreman in Automobile Dealership for diploma holders.
- Good computer skills
