Data Protection Officer in Abu Dhabi

Role: Data Protection Officer (DPO)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Type: 12-month contract (extendable)

Summary:
As a Data Protection Officer (DPO), you will report directly to senior management and serve as the expert responsible for ensuring compliance with GDPR and local data protection laws. Your mission is to safeguard the organization’s data while fostering a culture of privacy awareness across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and supervisory authorities on all data protection matters
• Monitor and improve data management processes to ensure compliance with regulations
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and provide recommendations on best practices
• Maintain detailed compliance records and address data subject queries in a timely manner
• Develop and conduct training sessions on data protection for employees at all levels

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 10-12 years in data protection, preferably in a regional or global company (experience in financial institutions is a plus)
• Skills: Deep understanding of data protection regulations, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to conduct engaging training sessions
• Expertise: Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive data protection policies across an organization
