## Description

WSP is seeking a highly experienced HSE Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team on a major Roads & Highways project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance are maintained throughout project execution. Working as part of the Engineer's site supervision team, the HSE Engineer will monitor construction activities, ensure contractor compliance with project HSE requirements, and support the delivery of a safe working environment in accordance with Saudi Arabian regulations, client requirements, and international best practices.

## Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH International General Certificate, NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH, or equivalent. Additional certifications in incident investigation, risk assessment, or auditing would be an advantage. Minimum 12 years of professional HSE experience. Proven experience on major Roads & Highways construction projects. Previous experience working for an engineering consultancy or site supervision consultant is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience working on projects within Saudi Arabia (KSA). Strong knowledge of Saudi regulations, infrastructure project requirements, and international HSE standards. Experience managing contractor HSE performance on large-scale infrastructure projects. Familiarity with projects involving road construction, interchanges, bridges, utility diversions, traffic management, and associated infrastructure works. Skills & Competencies Excellent understanding of construction health, safety, and environmental management systems. Strong knowledge of risk assessment and hazard identification techniques. Ability to conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations effectively. Strong report writing and communication skills. Ability to influence, coach, and engage project teams and contractors to improve safety performance. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HSE reporting systems. Fluent in English. Arabic language skills would be advantageous. Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
