OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE: Job Summary: The Director of Outside Catering Sales serves as the strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and overall business performance for the Outside Catering division at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai. This role is accountable for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy that positions the hotel as a market leader in the outside catering sector while ensuring alignment with Marriott International’s brand standards, service culture, and commercial objectives. The Director leads all proactive sales efforts, focusing on business development, client acquisition, key account management, and revenue optimization across all catering segments. Through strategic selling, relationship management, market intelligence, and effective forecasting, the role ensures the achievement of annual revenue goals while maximizing profitability and market share. A critical component of this position is the strong partnership and dotted-line relationship with the hotel’s operational leadership teams, including Culinary, Event Planning, Banquet Operations, Stewarding, and other event support functions. While the Director maintains full ownership of sales performance and customer acquisition, the success of the Outside Catering business is highly dependent on seamless collaboration with operations to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of events. The Director acts as the commercial voice of the customer while working closely with operational stakeholders to evaluate event feasibility, resource allocation, service delivery standards, and overall client satisfaction.
