## Description

The Staff Midwife acts as a key member of the interdisciplinary team, fostering collaboration, effective communication, and culturally sensitive care, while advocating for patient dignity and rights. Responsibilities also include supervising and mentoring junior staff, supporting education and professional development, and contributing to organizational initiatives, performance improvement, and risk management. Strong critical thinking, leadership, and commitment to continuous learning underpin the delivery of safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

## Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification with minimum of three (3) years course duration in Midwifery; or BSc in Nursing, or equivalent with minimum three (3) years course duration and Midwifery Certificate with minimum one (1) year course duration; or Associate degree in Nursing from Canada or USA with minimum two (2) years course duration, and Successful completion of the National exam and Midwifery Certificate with minimum one (1) year course duration. DOH License or DOH Eligibility
