## Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Director

Department: Group Supply Chain & Logistics

Reports To [Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) / Group Chief Operating Officer (COO)]

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Company:

The company is a diversified group of subsidiary companies operating across Saudi Arabia. We deliver comprehensive solutions across multiple sectors, supported by an extensive network of shared logistics, transportation, and warehousing assets. As we continue to scale in alignment with Vision 2030, we are transforming our supply chain operations to drive group-wide synergies, leverage advanced digital technologies, and deliver unmatched operational and customer service excellence.

Role Summary / Purpose:

The Supply Chain Director is a highly strategic, executive leadership role critical to consolidating and optimizing logistics operations across our entire group of subsidiary companies. This role is responsible for seamlessly integrating disparate logistics operations—spanning separate fleets, warehouses, systems, and processes—into a single, unified, and highly efficient supply chain network covering both land and sea transport modalities.

The ideal candidate will drive digital and AI-enabled performance to maximize financial and operational outcomes while delivering exceptional customer service. Crucially, the Supply Chain Director must achieve these ambitious goals not through direct, day-to-day personal execution, but through robust strategic planning and the effective delegation through the line, empowering and holding accountable a comprehensive management team beneath them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Integration & Network Optimization

• Develop and execute a comprehensive group-wide supply chain and logistics strategy covering all subsidiary companies.

• Lead the integration of disparate logistics operations (unifying separate fleets, warehouses, IT systems, vendors, and processes) into an efficient, scalable, and unified supply chain.

• Drive strategic planning, network design, capacity planning, and robust contingency/risk management protocols.

• Ensure seamless nationwide logistics coverage across all regions of Saudi Arabia (Central, Western, Eastern, Southern, and Northern), supporting major industrial zones and giga-projects in key cities including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Makkah, and Madinah.

• Operations & Asset Management

• Directly manage transportation and warehousing assets on behalf of the group, consolidating shared logistics resources to maximize asset utilization.

• Oversee a multimodal logistics network encompassing both land and sea freight, covering inbound, outbound, intercompany, and last-mile movements.

• Negotiate and strategically manage contracts with land and sea carriers, 3PLs, warehouse providers, and other critical logistics partners.

• Ensure strict compliance with Saudi regulations, customs laws, transport directives, safety standards, and broader Vision 2030 alignment.

• Digital Transformation & AI Application

• Champion the digital transformation of group logistics through the implementation and optimization of ERP, TMS, WMS, telematics, IoT, and automation systems.

• Apply artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics to maximize operational performance and financial outcomes, specifically driving initiatives in route optimization, demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, dynamic pricing, and dynamic capacity planning.

• Performance Management & Leadership (Delegation Through the Line)

• Build, lead, and mentor a robust management team, achieving operational and strategic results strictly through effective delegation through the line.

• Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous improvement, allowing the management team to independently execute while adhering to group strategy.

• Design, implement, and govern operations through detailed performance KPIs that meticulously track both operational success factors and customer service outcomes.

• Establish strict governance, SOPs, and regular performance review cadences across all subsidiary logistics operations.

• Collaborate closely with subsidiary leadership, finance, procurement, operations, and commercial teams to drive cost optimization and working capital efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

The Supply Chain Director will manage the management team against a comprehensive framework of KPIs, including but not limited to:

• Operational KPIs: On-time delivery (OTD), fleet utilization rates, warehouse throughput, cost per km/ton, inventory accuracy, asset downtime, safety incidents, fuel efficiency, and order cycle time.

• Customer Service KPIs: Order fulfillment rate (OFR), customer satisfaction (CSAT), service level agreement (SLA) adherence, complaint resolution time, delivery accuracy, and reverse logistics/returns handling efficiency.

• Financial KPIs: Total logistics cost as a percentage of revenue, realized cost savings through consolidation, working capital improvement, and ROI on digital/AI system investments.

• Strategic KPIs: Subsidiary integration milestones achieved, digital system adoption rates, and AI-driven performance gains (e.g., measurable improvements in route efficiency or demand forecasting accuracy).

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or relevant Master’s degree is highly preferred.

• 15+ years of extensive supply chain and logistics experience, including at least 5–7 years in a senior executive leadership role managing multi-site, multi-subsidiary operations.

• Proven, in-depth experience navigating the logistics and regulatory landscape of Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

• Deep operational expertise in land and sea transport, large-scale warehousing, fleet management, and 3PL vendor management.
