## Description

We are seeking a Procurement Officer with strong commercial acumen and hands-on experience in end-to-end procurement, preferably within the education sector. The successful candidate will work closely with school teams and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of quality educational resources, books and other operational requirements. Candidates should be available to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of educational resources, including reusable teaching and learning materials, consumables and books, together with IT equipment, marketing materials and selected Annual Maintenance Contracts

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders and contracts in line with approved budgets, and ensure cost efficiency, quality and timely delivery

• Source, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers for goods, services, and works

• Track outstanding purchase orders, coordinate deliveries with suppliers and school teams, and resolve shortages and quality issues

• Manage selected Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), monitor vendor performance, and ensure timely renewals

• Review and continuously improve procurement processes, controls, and compliance

• Analyze annual spend by category and strengthen the vendor base to support business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or a related field

• Minimum 5 years or more of procurement experience

• CIPS Level 4 certification (preferred)

• Experience in school procurement or with suppliers of educational resources to schools

• Strong knowledge of local UAE suppliers and market pricing

• Hands-on experience with procurement ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA procurement experience preferred

• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory requirement

Skills & Competencies

• Strong stakeholder management and order processing skills

• Excellent oral and written communication

• High proficiency in data analysis and preparing quotation comparisons, spend analyses and procurement reports

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and solve problems under pressure
