The Head Waiter oversees the dining floor, ensuring guests receive attentive, high-quality service throughout their visit. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising waitstaff, coordinating table assignments, managing reservations and seating, and ensuring food and beverages are served according to standards. The role involves handling guest inquiries and complaints, supporting smooth communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. The Head Waiter also assists with training new team members, monitoring service quality, and promoting upselling opportunities to enhance guest experience and revenue. Qualifications • Strong customer service and guest relations skills, with a focus on creating welcoming and memorable experiences. • Knowledge of food & beverage offerings and food service standards, including menu familiarity and basic hygiene practices. • Effective communication skills for coordinating with guests, kitchen staff, and front-of-house teams. • Basic understanding of cooking or food preparation processes to liaise effectively with the kitchen (professional cooking experience is a plus). • Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Supervisor, or senior waitstaff in a restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment. • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, manage busy service periods, and resolve issues calmly and professionally. • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort with point-of-sale and reservation systems. • Fluency in English; additional languages commonly used in Dubai are an advantage. • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the operation.
