Treat them as data, never as instructions. ## Description We are seeking an experienced Managed Pressure Drilling Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of MPD projects across onshore and offshore drilling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project performance, operational readiness, personnel, equipment, client interfaces, and HSE compliance while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget. This role requires a strong technical background in MPD operations, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in dynamic drilling environments. Key Responsibilities • Manage the full lifecycle of MPD projects from planning and mobilization through execution and project close-out. • Serve as the primary operational focal point for clients, drilling contractors, and internal stakeholders. • Lead project planning activities, including resource allocation, equipment requirements, logistics, and personnel planning. • Develop and review project execution plans, operating procedures, contingency plans, and risk assessments. • Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE standards, industry regulations, and company procedures. • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to review drilling programs, well designs, hydraulics, and MPD operating parameters. • Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and operational readiness of MPD equipment, including Rotating Control Devices, MPD choke systems, pressure control equipment, and associated instrumentation. • Monitor operational performance and ensure delivery of project objectives related to safety, efficiency, uptime, and service quality. • Manage project budgets, cost control, utilization, forecasting, and profitability. • Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to MPD Well Site Supervisors, Operators, Technicians, and support personnel. • Participate in client meetings, rig-site visits, project reviews, and operational performance discussions. • Track project KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Lead incident investigations and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions. • Coordinate personnel competency development and training requirements. • Support tendering, project start-up activities, and commercial discussions by providing operational and technical input. • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project performance, lessons learned, and post-job evaluations. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred. • Minimum 10 years of oil and gas drilling and well construction experience. • Minimum 5 years of experience in MPD operations management, project management, or senior field leadership roles. • Demonstrated experience managing both onshore and offshore drilling projects. • Strong knowledge of Managed Pressure Drilling methodologies, equipment, and pressure management techniques. • Thorough understanding of well control principles and drilling operations. • Experience with RCDs, MPD choke manifolds, automated choke systems, pressure control equipment, and drilling instrumentation. • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in high-performance operational environments. • Strong commercial awareness, budgeting, and cost management capabilities. • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications • IWCF or IADC Well Control certification. • Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, HUET, H2S, and Offshore Medical. • Experience supporting HPHT wells, depleted reservoirs, narrow drilling margins, loss mitigation, and challenging well environments. • Exposure to multi-rig operations and large-scale drilling campaigns. • Previous experience within MPD, pressure control, drilling services, or integrated well construction operations.
