## Description

Business Development – Smart City Solutions

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

About the Role:

We are looking for a results-driven Business Development professional to drive business growth for our Smart City Solutions portfolio across the UAE and the wider GCC. The role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, building relationships with government and semi-government entities, and promoting innovative smart city and digital technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in smart city solutions, digital transformation, smart mobility, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, municipalities, transport authorities, developers, technology providers, and strategic partners.

• Develop and implement business development strategies to increase revenue and expand market presence.

• Identify potential projects involving IoT, AI-powered solutions, smart infrastructure, traffic management, urban intelligence, and integrated city management systems.

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and business opportunities.

• Monitor upcoming tenders, RFPs, and strategic projects across the UAE and GCC.

• Collaborate with technical, commercial, and operations teams to develop client-focused proposals and solution offerings.

• Identify and establish strategic partnerships with technology companies, system integrators, and solution providers.

• Lead client meetings, presentations, commercial negotiations, and support contract finalisation.

• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking activities.

• Maintain an active sales pipeline, track business opportunities, and provide regular business development reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 7+ years of business development experience in smart city solutions, digital transformation, intelligent transportation systems, IoT, smart mobility, or technology solutions.

• Native English Speaker Mandatory

• Proven experience in developing business opportunities and managing client relationships within the UAE market.

• Strong network among government authorities, semi-government entities, transport authorities, developers, and technology partners.

• Experience in government tenders, RFPs, commercial proposals, and strategic partnerships.

• Good understanding of smart city technologies, digital platforms, and technology-driven infrastructure solutions.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
