Summary:

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, coordination, and preparation of mechanical building services drawings and calculations for engineering consultancy projects. The role includes HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and other mechanical systems in compliance with UAE regulations, Abu Dhabi codes, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed mechanical designs (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, storm water, ventilation)

• Perform engineering calculations, cooling load calculations, pressure loss, pipe sizing and equipment solution

• Develop design reports, specifications, BOQs and technical documentation

• Ensure design compliance with Abu Dhabi building codes, DMT, civil defence and international mechanical codes

• Project coordination, design review and provide technical solutions

• Prepare authority approvals

• Develop design using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP and BIM

• Ensure all drawings and calculations are accurate maintaining quality assurance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (equivalency certificate preferred)

• Minimum 10 years of mechanical design experience in engineering consultancy

• Proven experience in industrial and steel structure related projects

• DMT professional engineer (preferred)

• Must hold valid UAE Driving License.
