Business Development & Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding

Location: Dubai

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and target-driven Business Development & Sales Executive with 2–4 years of experience in freight forwarding, particularly sea and air freight. The candidate will be responsible for generating new business, acquiring customers, and developing long-term relationships within the UAE market.

Candidates with an existing network of importers, exporters, trading companies, and corporate clients will be preferred. Arabic-speaking candidates are an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

• Identify and acquire new customers for international sea and air freight services.

• Generate business through cold calling, client visits, networking, referrals, and direct prospecting.

• Develop sea freight (FCL/LCL) and air freight business for imports and exports.

• Build relationships with importers, exporters, trading companies, and logistics decision-makers.

• Achieve monthly sales and gross profit targets.

• Maintain and expand the company's customer portfolio.

Freight Forwarding & Commercial Management

• Prepare freight quotations in coordination with pricing and operations teams.

• Negotiate rates and commercial terms while maintaining profitable margins.

• Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, and logistics partners.

• Identify opportunities to cross-sell road freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and other logistics services.

• Monitor market trends, freight rates, and competitor activities.

Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective and existing customers.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

• Follow up on quotations and convert potential leads into confirmed business.

• Maintain an updated sales pipeline and customer database.

• Report on sales activities, customer acquisition, and business performance.

Candidate Requirements

• 2–4 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding sales and business development.

• Good understanding of sea freight, air freight, FCL/LCL, and import/export procedures.

• Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation.

• Ability to generate new business and achieve sales targets independently.

• Existing UAE customer network is an advantage.

• Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.

• Good command of English; Arabic-speaking candidates preferred.

• UAE driving licence preferred.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and commercially oriented.
