## Description

AI Product Owner – Core Banking

Contract: 12 months

Start: Immediate

Location: Initially fully remote, with future travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Travel: Once travel resumes, candidates based outside Saudi Arabia must be able to spend two weeks per month in Riyadh and two weeks working remotely from home. All business travel, accommodation and visa costs will be covered. No Riyadh travel is currently required, with this arrangement expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future.

We are looking for an experienced AI Product Owner with a strong banking background, particularly across payments, cards, remittances and core banking, to lead the development and adoption of AI-enabled banking products and capabilities.

This role combines product ownership with responsibility for AI outcomes, ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value, meet user needs and operate within clearly defined controls.

Key responsibilities

• Define the product vision, roadmap, scope and prioritised backlog for AI-enabled banking capabilities.

• Translate business and user needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Establish success measures covering business outcomes, user experience, adoption and AI performance.

• Define AI guardrails, human oversight, escalation paths and recourse where AI outputs lead to incorrect or unexpected outcomes.

• Work with technical teams to monitor model drift, performance deterioration and user feedback, identifying retraining and improvement needs.

• Drive stakeholder engagement and user adoption across business, technology, operations and control functions.

• Support vendor assessments and manage delivery scope in line with the agreed roadmap.

What we’re looking for

• Proven Product Owner experience within banking or financial services.

• Strong understanding of core banking processes, with experience across payments, cards, remittances or related banking products.

• Experience delivering AI or machine learning-enabled products, with an understanding of how their performance and outcomes are monitored.

• Ability to translate banking requirements into practical AI use cases with measurable value.

• Understanding of responsible AI, governance, human oversight and controls within a regulated environment.

• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with engineering, data science and business teams.

• Experience managing Agile backlogs, prioritisation, delivery dependencies and external vendors.
