## Description

Job Summary:

This role entails overseeing the bank's liquidity management operations for the Qatar branch, encompassing money market activities, foreign exchange trading, and fixed income instruments. with the objective of achieving profitability targets, particularly within Treasury Sales, whilst ensuring strict adherence to internal and regulatory limits.

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing liquidity of the bank through adequate placement in money markets, borrowing as required, and ensuring gaping to meet upcoming requirements.

• Ensuring adherence to Qatar Central Bank regulations.

• Maintenance of Statutory Reserve Requirement.

• Submission of reporting through Finance department to regulator.

• Assistance in completion of audit requirements, internal/external/regulatory.

• Liaise with Treasury International to complete investment in fixed income securities for the bank.

• Execute foreign exchange transactions (spot forward swaps) as required. Engagement with counter-parties in money markets.

• Facilitating corporate and retail clients through aggressive and market competitive pricing

• Developing inter-bank relationships essential for foreign exchange, investments, money market and derivatives trading

• Acting as an advisor to management on asset liability structuring and management with adequate gaping.

• Providing management feedback on International financial markets and developments to assist in developing growth strategies.

• Monitoring and forecasting liquidity levels and advising businesses accordingly on upcoming requirements

• Active engagement with retail and corporate clients through branches and Relationship Managers to provide competitive pricing for all asset classes.

• Support Business units in driving volumes for both FX and CASA.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably MBA or CFA

Minimum Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Treasury of a financial institution. GCC experience preferred.

Job Specific Skills:

• Understanding of financial market instruments, along with the regulatory framework governing a commercial bank

• Understanding of financial statements and accounting practices specific to banks

• Performance driven and sales oriented

• High proficiency in written and spoken English

• Track record of successful business relationships

• Proficient in MS Office, Reuters, Bloomberg
