## Description

MaktabiTech designs and delivers high-end audio-visual environments for some of the region’s most ambitious organizations, from command and innovation centers to boardrooms and experience spaces. Our work spans major projects across the Gulf, and our Dubai office is a growing part of that story.

We’re looking for a technically strong accountant to build and own the finance function for our Dubai operations. This is a role for someone who wants to shape how a project-driven, fast-growing business is run, not just record it.

What you’ll do

• Own the monthly close, reconciliations, and IFRS-compliant reporting for the Dubai entity, with visibility across the wider group

• Manage project accounting: revenue recognition on multi-phase contracts, WIP, cost tracking, and margin analysis

• Prepare management reports and explain the story behind the numbers to senior leadership

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning

• Handle UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, and coordinate with auditors and banks

• Strengthen internal controls, processes, and systems as we scale

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW (qualified or part-qualified)

• 5+ years of experience, including Big 4 or equivalent audit exposure

• Experience with consolidation, group reporting, and internal controls

• Solid grasp of UAE VAT and corporate tax

• Clear communicator, comfortable explaining finance to non-finance colleagues

• Curiosity and ownership: you ask “why” and follow through
