The Cake Decorator/Artist will design and decorate cakes and desserts, including custom and themed creations, ensuring visual appeal, consistency with brand standards, and high product quality. Daily responsibilities include preparing cake bases, icings, fillings, and decorative elements; maintaining a clean and organized workstation; and following food safety and hygiene guidelines. The role involves collaborating with bakery and kitchen team members, managing decoration orders, and meeting production and delivery timelines. The Cake Decorator/Artist will also interact with guests or sales staff to understand design requirements and support an excellent customer experience. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Bakery and Baking skills for preparing a variety of cakes and related products. • Candidates should possess Cake Decorating skills, including piping, fondant work, and creative visual design. • Candidates should possess skills in preparing and decorating Cookies and similar baked items. • Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle guest requests, custom orders, and feedback professionally. • Attention to detail, creativity, and a strong sense of aesthetics in food presentation. • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper handling of bakery ingredients. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple orders, and meet deadlines. • Prior experience as a cake decorator, pastry chef, or bakery artist is highly beneficial. • Basic math skills for measurements and portioning, and the ability to follow recipes accurately. • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
