## Description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kuwait at GstoreQ8. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank and ledger accounts. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements and reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations. The role involves monitoring accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will also collaborate with internal teams, support audits, maintain accurate financial records, and recommend process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliation.

• Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, expense tracking, and cash flow monitoring.

• Knowledge of Kuwait financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards, or willingness to quickly learn local requirements.

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid MS Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, basic data analysis).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced retail or trading environment.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.

• Previous experience in accounting or finance, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or distribution, is highly beneficial.
