## Description

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect plumbing, drainage, electrical and AC-related installations across assigned construction areas, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements and project quality requirements.

• Review coordinated MEP, architectural and structural drawings against the Civil construction programme to identify required sleeves, conduits, openings, electrical boxes, service routes, fixture provisions and embedded services before concrete pouring or blockwork.

• Inspect plumbing and drainage installations, including pipe sizes, routes, supports, joints, drainage gradients, invert levels, vents, cleanouts, fixture connections and wet-area provisions, ensuring compliance with approved layouts.

• Inspect electrical installations, including conduits, sleeves, containment, electrical boxes, power and lighting provisions, earthing, bonding and associated embedded services. Coordinate AC power supplies, isolators, controls and equipment connections with the HVAC contractor.

• Coordinate HVAC interfaces, including duct and refrigerant service routes, openings, equipment locations, access requirements and AC condensate drainage connections, ensuring alignment with plumbing, electrical and Civil works.

• Conduct joint site inspections with Civil engineers, MEP contractors and consultants before concrete pours, wall closures, screeding or other concealment activities. Verify service provisions, inspection approvals and outstanding corrective actions before work proceeds.

• Maintain and update a location-based register of MEP openings, sleeves, reservations, service routes and interfaces, identifying dimensions, levels, responsible parties, inspection status and outstanding actions across assigned floors and zones.

• Verify MEP materials, including pipes, fittings, valves, conduits, cables, containment, earthing materials, supports, accessories and penetration seals, against approved submittals, certificates and project specifications.

• Coordinate and track specified plumbing pressure and leakage tests, drainage tests, electrical continuity, insulation resistance, earthing tests and other applicable inspections. Maintain test records and follow up failed or outstanding results with the responsible contractors and consultant.

• Identify service clashes, missing provisions, routing conflicts, level discrepancies and drawing inconsistencies. Raise requests for information through established procedures and ensure proposed changes are reviewed and approved by the appointed designers and consultant before implementation.

• Coordinate with Civil engineers, discipline engineers, the MEP coordination team, contractors and the supervision consultant to resolve interface issues, align installation sequences and ensure services are ready for subsequent construction activities.

• Maintain inspection, material, testing, coordination, defect and corrective action registers. Document site observations, photographs, responsible parties and target dates, reinspect corrective work and verify closure before area handover.

• Monitor contractor progress and inspection readiness against the Civil programme, identify missing provisions or approvals that may delay concrete pours and blockwork, and escalate unresolved technical issues, blocked activities and unsafe conditions to the QA/QC Manager.

• Prepare daily and weekly reports covering inspected areas, MEP installation progress, pre-pour and wall closure readiness, outstanding inspections, test results, service clashes, defects, corrective actions and required decisions. Maintain marked-up drawings and handover records for assigned areas.

• Perform other related MEP site inspection, quality control, technical coordination, documentation and construction readiness duties reasonably associated with the role, as assigned by the QA/QC Manager or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant building MEP experience, including UAE site supervision and coordination of plumbing, drainage, electrical and HVAC interfaces.

• Practical knowledge of MEP installations, embedded services, sleeves, openings, wet-area provisions, electrical and AC connections, inspection procedures and testing requirements.

• Ability to read and interpret coordinated MEP, architectural and structural drawings, review installation details and identify service clashes before construction or concealment.

• Experience coordinating Civil and MEP contractors, conducting joint site inspections, maintaining inspection and testing records, and following defects through to verified closure.

• Working proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel. Experience reviewing BIM coordination models is an advantage.

• Good written and spoken English, strong site coordination and reporting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple work fronts and follow up contractors effectively.

• UAE residential development experience is required; developer-side supervision and Ras Al Khaimah project experience are preferred.
