About the Company

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in construction contracting to join our finance team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in construction project accounting, financial monitoring, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare monthly financial reports, project cost reports, and financial statements.

• Monitor and analyze project costs, budgets, and financial performance.

• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management.

• Project Accounting

• Monitor subcontractor payments, supplier invoices, and material costs.

• Track advances, retentions, and project budgets.

• Maintain accurate records of all project-related financial transactions.

• Conduct regular project cost analysis and variance reporting.

• Team Leadership

• Lead and supervise junior accountants.

• Allocate tasks, review work, and ensure quality and accuracy.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

• Ensure timely completion of all accounting functions.

• Compliance and Controls

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.

• Coordinate with external auditors during audits.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent).

Required Skills

• Experience: Strong experience in construction project accounting and financial monitoring.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in preparing monthly financial reports, project cost reports, and financial statements.

• Experience monitoring subcontractor payments, supplier invoices, material costs, advances, retentions, and project budgets.

• Leadership: Ability to lead junior accountants, allocate tasks, review work, and ensure timely reporting.

• Software: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
