Role Description The Assistant Mechanical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in the United Arab Emirates. This position supports senior engineers in the design, review, and implementation of mechanical systems for building projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. Daily responsibilities include preparing and updating CAD drawings, assisting with mechanical calculations, coordinating with site teams and subcontractors, and participating in inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. The role also involves supporting project documentation, tracking progress against schedules, and contributing to problem-solving for technical issues on site. The Assistant Mechanical Engineer works closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to help deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective mechanical solutions.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess core Mechanical Engineering skills, with a solid understanding of building services and mechanical systems.

• Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Research and Development (R&D) to support optimization and improvement of mechanical solutions.

• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to create, modify, and interpret mechanical drawings and layouts.

• Candidates should possess Project Management skills to assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring mechanical work within overall project timelines.

• Relevant bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineers, site staff, and external stakeholders.

• Familiarity with local building codes, industry standards, and construction site practices in the UAE is an advantage.
