## Description

Lead Solution Architect – Oil & Gas (Upstream) - 12 Month Contract - Abu Dhabi

We have an engagement with a global consultancy who specialises in O&G industry technology programs.

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Solution Architect to lead solution design and architecture governance across an upstream oil and gas environment.

You’ll oversee the Solution Architecture Centre of Excellence, guide senior architects and ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across upstream initiatives.

• Define architecture standards, principles and best practices.

• Review and approve high-level designs and key architecture decisions.

• Lead and support Lead Architects and Domain Architects.

• Manage architecture governance, ensuring strong integration, security and regulatory compliance.

• Work closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors and IT operations.

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of IT experience, including senior architecture leadership roles.

• Strong solution and enterprise architecture experience within upstream oil and gas.

• Broad technical knowledge across ERP, SCADA, upstream technologies, integration, digital and data platforms.

• Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and formal governance processes.

• Proven ability to lead senior architects and influence executive stakeholders.

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Oil & Gas, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification is strongly preferred.
