Job Summary
Owns the health, availability, and access governance of the SQL Server estate, including the Always On configuration, and supports business teams with data/reporting needs.

Responsibilities

• – Administer Microsoft SQL Server instances — performance, storage, and patching in coordination with the System Administrator.

• – Manage and monitor Always On Availability Groups , replica health, synchronization state, and scheduled failover testing.

• – Manage database access provisioning, least-privilege role assignment, and periodic access reviews.

• – Tune queries and indexing for application and reporting performance.

• – Coordinate database backup/restore strategy with Commvault and validate recoverability.

• – Automate database schema deployment for SQL Server in coordination with the Data Analyst/DBA, avoiding manual production changes

• – Produce and maintain reporting/data extracts for business stakeholders as required.

Must Have

• – Microsoft SQL Server administration, installation, configuration, performance tuning.

• – Always On Availability Groups setup, monitoring, and failover management.

• – SQL proficiency and query/index optimization.

• – Database security and access management roles, permissions, auditing.

• – Backup/restore strategy aligned with an enterprise backup platform (Commvault).

• – Reporting tooling is a plus for the data-analysis side of the role.
