## Description

Position Summary:

The DEQ Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities on Depot Equipment systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation in compliance with standards, maintenance procedures, EHS requirements, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Activities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on depot equipment and workshop machinery.

• Perform troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, repair, adjustment, and replacement of defective components.

• Ensure availability and reliability of depot equipment assets.

• Conduct routine inspections and condition monitoring activities.

• Support breakdown recovery and emergency maintenance interventions.

Technical Duties

• Read and understand technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures.

• Utilize testing and measuring instruments for diagnostics and maintenance activities.

• Record maintenance activities in CMMS or maintenance management systems.

• Prepare maintenance reports and intervention records.

• Assist engineers and supervisors during major maintenance activities and investigations. Safety & Quality

• Comply with EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions.

• Apply Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and safe work practices.

• Maintain good housekeeping within workshops and maintenance areas.

• Ensure all maintenance activities meet quality requirements and project standards.

• Report safety observations, incidents, near misses, and equipment abnormalities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Candidates shall possess one of the following:

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering

• Industrial Technical Institute Certification or equivalent recognized qualification

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in:

• Railway systems, Metro, LRT, Depot Equipment, or Industrial Maintenance environments.

Medical Fitness

Candidates must:

• Be medically fit for railway maintenance activities.

• Pass project-required medical examinations and background verification.

Preferred:

Preferred certifications include:

• Electrical Safety Certification

• LOTO Training

• Working at Height Training

• First Aid Certification

• Mechanical/Electrical Technical Certifications
