About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager -Conference & Events to join Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Assist in planning and coordinating conferences and events, including logistics, scheduling, and vendor management.

• Communicate with clients to gather event requirements, provide updates, and address inquiries or concerns.

• Support event staff by providing guidance, training, and assistance during event setup, execution, and breakdown.

• Assist in securing event venues, arranging setups, and coordinating with facilities to ensure all requirements are met.

• Aid in developing event budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities to optimize financial resources.

• Assist in liaising with vendors, obtaining quotes, negotiating contracts, and coordinating services to fulfill event requirements.

• Provide on-site support during events to oversee operations, address issues, and ensure client satisfaction and adherence to service standards.

• Assist in planning event logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and guest services, to facilitate smooth event experiences.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in similar role, preferably with an international hospitality industry

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or any other relevant field

• Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills are highly desirable.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling guest requests and service recovery.
