Business Development Manager – Architecture & Engineering Design Consultancy

Job Description

Our client, a leading architecture and engineering design consultancy, is looking for an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive the company's growth in the UAE market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential clients across developers, government entities and contractors.

• Win new clients and close design and consultancy fee contracts.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

• Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, upcoming projects and market trends.

• Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling and other business development channels.

• Prepare and submit tenders, proposals and pre-qualifications (PQs), and deliver business presentations.

• Negotiate fees and contract terms, and support the closing of business deals.

• Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective and existing clients.

• Achieve agreed business development and revenue targets.

• Maintain accurate records of leads, prospects, tenders and client interactions.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of Business Development experience with an architecture or engineering design consultancy in the GCC (experience in contracting, MEP or fit-out will not be considered).

• Proven track record of winning new clients and closing design and consultancy fee contracts.

• Strong network with developers, government entities and contractors in the UAE.

• Hands-on experience with tenders, proposals, PQs and fee negotiation.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred.

• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Target-oriented with a proactive approach to generating new business.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong UAE market experience is essential.
