## Description

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the finance team supporting a massive international sports event in Saudi Arabia. This is a contract-based opportunity for a finance professional with strong financial control, reporting, budgeting, and compliance experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial control activities for the project.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and project financial reports.

• Monitor budgets, forecasts, actual expenditure, and financial commitments.

• Analyse budget variances and provide clear explanations and recommendations.

• Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of financial transactions.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, and general ledger activities.

• Review invoices, payment requests, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.

• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

• Support project budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Coordinate with procurement, operations, commercial, and other project teams on financial matters.

• Prepare financial data and reports for senior management.

• Support audits and provide required financial documentation.

• Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and control issues and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and maintained in line with required standards.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Assist with additional financial reporting or control requirements throughout the project.

Experience Requirement

5+ years of relevant experience in financial control, accounting, finance management, or a similar role. Previous experience supporting large-scale events, sports, entertainment, hospitality, construction, infrastructure, or major projects is advantageous.

Location / Work Mode

KSA - Immediate start, contract duration until February 2027, fixed-term/project-based.
