Role Description The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai involves preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate cost and inventory accounting aligned with the brand’s production cycles. The role includes managing compliance with local regulations and tax requirements, coordinating with external auditors, and implementing robust internal controls. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to process improvements as the brand grows internationally. Qualifications • Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close. • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic and operational decisions. • Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and margin analysis, ideally within fashion, retail, or consumer goods. • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial models). • Understanding of local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is preferred. • Relevant experience in a senior accounting or similar role; experience in fashion or luxury retail is an advantage. • Ability to work on-site in Dubai and operate effectively within a diverse, international team.
