WORK PURPOSE
The Civil QC Inspector will provide site-based civil quality control inspection and surveillance support for a major energy project in Oman.

The role will verify that civil construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements and applicable standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with Company HSE standards and requirements.

• Promote quality and HSE requirements among Contractors and project personnel.

• Review Contractor Quality Control Plans, ITPs, procedures and method statements.

• Review QA/QC documentation before construction activities commence.

• Perform civil construction inspections and surveillance.

• Inspect materials received at site.

• Review material certificates and relevant test documentation.

• Verify materials comply with project requirements.

• Ensure current approved drawings, specifications and standards are available.

• Identify quality deviations and non-conformances.

• Raise quality observations and NCRs where required.

• Follow up corrective actions and NCR close-out.

• Support quality audits and surveillance activities.

• Attend inspections and testing in accordance with approved ITPs.

• Verify testing is completed and properly documented.

• Maintain inspection and quality records.

• Support final inspections, snagging and punch-list activities.

• Support project quality close-out.

• Liaise with discipline engineers, QA/QC personnel and Contractors.

• Provide input to quality reports and dashboards.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

• Civil construction inspection.

• Quality control and surveillance.

• Drawing and specification review.

• ITP and method statement review.

• Material inspection.

• NCR management.

• Quality documentation.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Computer literacy.

• Strong written and spoken English.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering / Civil Construction or equivalent.

• Relevant experience in real estate construction and civil works.

• Experience in construction quality inspection and surveillance.

• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, ITPs and method statements.

• Knowledge of civil construction inspection requirements.

• Knowledge of applicable project specifications and international standards.

• Ability to interpret technical requirements in contracts and purchase orders.

LOCATION
Interior Project Locations, Oman.

The successful candidate must be willing to travel and work at various Interior Project locations.
