WORK PURPOSE
The Project Engineer will provide engineering and project coordination support for a major energy project in Oman.

The role will support design coordination, technical documentation, project monitoring, contractor coordination and construction-related activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide project engineering and coordination support to the Project Team.

• Coordinate engineering and technical activities across project disciplines.

• Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and project documentation.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers and project stakeholders.

• Monitor engineering deliverables and identify delays or outstanding actions.

• Support processing of RFIs and technical queries.

• Coordinate design interfaces between civil, structural, MEP, infrastructure and other disciplines.

• Assist Senior Project Engineers and discipline engineers with technical reviews.

• Monitor contractor compliance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

• Support site inspections, testing and commissioning activities.

• Track project actions, technical issues and outstanding deliverables.

• Support preparation of project progress reports and status updates.

• Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities.

• Support procurement and technical tracking activities.

• Assist with review of material and equipment submissions.

• Support construction, completion and handover activities.

• Assist with as-built documentation, O&M manuals and project close-out.

• Support resolution and close-out of technical and construction issues.

• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and project requirements.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES

• Project engineering and technical coordination.

• Design and construction interface management.

• Technical document review.

• Project monitoring and reporting.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong written and spoken English.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate projects engineering and management.

• Minimum 3 years of Middle East experience in similar major real estate projects.

• Experience in project engineering, design coordination and project management.

• Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Experience reviewing technical documents, drawings and engineering submissions.

• Experience in real estate, infrastructure, accommodation/camp or similar projects is preferred.

LOCATION
Oman – primarily Muscat / Mina Al Fahal, with travel to Interior Project locations as required.
