## Description

Job Summary

Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Consultancy Supervision Team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising structural works on major infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project standards, and relevant authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor structural construction activities at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

• Review structural shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation.

• Inspect structural works including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, foundations, concrete structures, and other infrastructure elements.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve technical and construction-related issues.

• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications.

• Review and respond to RFIs, technical queries, inspection requests, and other project documentation.

• Identify non-conformities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.

• Monitor construction progress and provide technical input to support project delivery.

• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, and other relevant documentation.

• Ensure all structural works comply with applicable Dubai Municipality, RTA, and other relevant authority requirements.

• Participate in site meetings, progress meetings, and technical coordination meetings.

• Support the Project Manager/Resident Engineer in managing structural works and resolving site issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

• 8+ years of overall experience in structural engineering, preferably with significant experience in infrastructure projects.

• Proven experience in consultancy supervision is mandatory.

• Experience in bridges, roads, utilities, drainage structures, retaining structures, or other major infrastructure projects is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of structural construction methods, inspection procedures, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

• Familiarity with relevant UAE/Dubai codes, standards, and authority requirements.

• Good knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction practices.

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
