## Description

Head – Supply Chain Management (Power Transmission & Distribution)

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

About the role

Our client, a leading global EPC player in power transmission and distribution, is looking for a Head of Supply Chain Management for its PTD business. The role leads procurement across roughly 25 countries and about 150 live projects, with annual spend of around USD 3 billion, and reports directly to the business head.

Procurement is a major driver of project margins, delivery timelines and early completion in this business. This is a strategic leadership position, not a purchasing desk.

What you will do

• Set the procurement strategy and align it with business goals, project margins and delivery schedules

• Lead sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and contract closure for towers, conductors, transformers, GIS/AIS, cables, insulators and EPC packages

• Own supplier approval decisions, and identify and develop new suppliers

• Build and maintain relationships with OEMs and strategic suppliers

• Drive cost optimisation and value engineering across a large multi-country portfolio

• Identify supply chain risks early and protect project execution

• Work closely with the Projects, Engineering, Contracts and Finance leadership

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of 20 to 30 across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and India

What you bring

• 20+ years in supply chain and procurement, with substantial experience in power transmission and distribution, or in adjacent electrical infrastructure such as substations and underground cabling in oil and gas

• Experience leading procurement portfolios of USD 1 billion or more across multiple projects and countries

• Experience managing large EPC infrastructure projects

• Working experience with global suppliers, including those in China

• Middle East experience and an established vendor network in the region

• An electrical engineering background, or deep procurement knowledge of electrical equipment such as transformers and switchgear, is an advantage

• A stable track record in long-cycle project environments
