## Description

Accountant – Arabic Speaker

We are currently working with an established automotive business based in Abu Dhabi that is looking to hire a strong Accountant to join its finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting function, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with reporting, forecasting, and month-end activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL) and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules.

• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

• Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

• Apply a strong understanding of IFRS to accounting and reporting activities.

• Support internal and external audits as required.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal financial procedures.

• Work closely with other departments to resolve finance-related queries and ensure timely processing of transactions.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience.

• Strong hands-on experience across AR, AP, GL and bank reconciliations.

• Experience with forecasting and financial reporting.

• Good understanding of IFRS and accounting principles.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Arabic speaker – mandatory.

• UAE experience is preferred.

• Experience within the automotive or related industry would be advantageous.

• Relevant accounting/finance qualification is preferred.
