## Description

Role Description

Based in Dubai and reporting to the General Manager, you'll run all day-to-day yard and operational activity across the UAE. You'll take full ownership of delivering quality, ready-to-hire equipment and service to the business in a cost-effective and controlled way.

As a key member of the UAE management team, you'll lead the maintenance, servicing and transport teams, keep the fleets in first-class condition and drive fleet utilisation, workshop performance and logistics efficiency. You'll work closely with the General Manager, Sales, the Hire Desk, Procurement and Finance. The role calls for strong, hands-on leadership that keeps the team productive while upholding technical standards and customer service.

• All UAE yard and operational activity, covering maintenance, servicing, transport, and logistics

• Fleet readiness and reliability, keeping equipment in first-class condition and always ready for hire

• Fleet utilisation, tracking time and financial utilisation, availability and idle fleet ageing, and actioning underutilised equipment

• Maintenance and workshop performance, including servicing plans aligned to Group standards, repair turnaround times, preventive maintenance compliance and workshop productivity

• Logistics performance, ensuring on-time delivery and collection of equipment and controlling mobilisation and transport costs

• Yard team leadership, including structure, supervision, training and development

• Departmental plans, KPIs and budgets, with regular reporting to the country head and corrective action as/when needed

• Close liaison with Sales and the Hire Desk so no business is ever lost to fleet non-availability

• Fleet planning with the Group Asset Manager, covering utilisation, disposal and future fleet needs

• Continuous process improvement, building efficient yard processes on industry best practice and Group standards

• Compliance across yards, workshops, sites and logistics, including audits and corrective actions

What we're looking for (Essential):

• Currently working in the equipment rental / plant hire industry

• Strong fleet management experience, covering readiness, utilisation and reliability

• Solid technical understanding of generators and power generation equipment

• Hands-on with ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and BI / reporting tools

• 10+ years in operations, including several years in a leadership role

• Strong yard, transport, workshop, and logistics background, with proven cost control

• 10 + years of woking experience in Equipment Rental Industry

• Technical / Engineering qualification is a must
