## Description

Job Title: Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Agriculture Head of Department

Location: Al Ain, UAE

Job Purpose

The Accountant will manage the financial operations of The Organic Farm, including accounting records, budgeting, reporting, cost control, procurement finance support, and compliance. The role is critical in monitoring farm expenses, operational costs, and supporting financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.

• Record daily financial transactions.

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices and payments.

• Monitor receivables and collections.

• Maintain vendor and customer account records.

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Monitor operational spending against budget.

• Track farm-related expenses such as:

• Feed

• Fertilizers

• Seeds

• Utilities

• Equipment maintenance

• Labor costs

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Provide management with cost and profitability analysis.

• Support forecasting and financial planning.

Procurement Finance Support

• Verify RFQs, quotations, and purchase requests.

• Ensure financial compliance before approvals.

• Monitor procurement expenditures.

Payroll Support

• Coordinate payroll inputs with HR.

• Validate overtime, labor costs, and allowances.

Audit & Compliance

• Support internal and external audits.

• Ensure VAT compliance and reporting.

• Maintain proper financial documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 3–5+ years accounting experience.

• Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, or operations preferred.

• Strong Excel and ERP skills.
