## Description

Job Summary

Responsible for continuous monitoring of data-center infrastructure and supporting IT environments, including servers, virtualization, storage, backup, databases, networks, security, applications, and supporting systems. The role handles alerts, performs initial validation, creates and classifies incidents, and ensures appropriate notification and escalation.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor infrastructure and data-center environments.

• Monitor servers, virtualization, storage, backup, databases, networks, security, and applications.

• Monitor dashboards and respond to system alerts and events.

• Perform initial validation and basic troubleshooting of alerts.

• Create and classify incidents accurately in the ITSM/ticketing system.

• Notify and escalate incidents to the appropriate technical teams.

• Follow incident escalation procedures and defined SLAs.

• Track and follow up on open incidents until resolution.

• Maintain accurate incident and monitoring records.

• Support shift handovers and daily operational reporting.

• Identify recurring alerts and report them to L2/L3 teams.

• Follow established monitoring, escalation, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in NOC, IT support, infrastructure monitoring, or technical support.

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and data-center environments.

• Familiarity with monitoring and ITSM/ticketing platforms.

• Basic knowledge of networking, servers, storage, backup, and virtualization.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to respond quickly to alerts.

• Ability to work in a 24/7 or shift-based environment.

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation – Preferred.

• Monitoring-platform training – Preferred.

• CompTIA Network+ – Preferred.
