## Description

• Prepare complete and accurate working plans, sections, elevations, charts, scale drawings, and revisions for various projects using CAD software

• Assist in preparing setting-out layouts based on consultant and client drawings

• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site execution

• Coordinate with site teams, clients, consultants, and line managers as required

• Assist the quantity surveying team by extracting quantities and areas from drawings

• Design layouts, sections, and detailed drawings for civil and structural projects, including roads, drainage, earthworks, grading profiles, and topographic maps

• Prepare drawings and mark-ups with minimal supervision

• Prepare and submit shop drawings for ongoing projects

• Perform quantity and area take-offs from drawings

• Attend meetings with line managers to discuss project progress

• Supervise junior draftsmen and drafting personnel

• Carry out scanning and printing work for projects and divisions as requested

• Perform office administration tasks, prepare work schedules, and raise invoices for sections/divisions

• Follow document control procedures, numbering systems, and maintain electronic archives of shop drawings and as-built drawings

• Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)

• Prepare proposal drawings for tender submissions

Requirements

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or ITI Draughtsman qualification

• Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience

• GCC experience preferred

• Proficiency in drafting software such as:

• AutoCAD

• MicroStation

• Civil 3D

• Other project-specific drafting applications

• Strong knowledge of architectural, civil, and structural drafting practices

• General awareness of:

• Electrical drawings

• Mechanical drawings

• Plumbing drawings

• HVAC drawings

• Ability to prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and proposal drawings for tender submissions

• Ability to perform quantity and area take-offs from drawings

• Good coordination and communication skills to work with site teams, clients, consultants, and project managers

• Ability to supervise and guide junior draftsmen

• Knowledge of document control procedures, drawing numbering systems, and electronic archiving

• Ability to prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS)
