## Description

Sales & Business Development Intern (Part-Time)

About Solar Oasis

Solar Oasis is a UAE-based startup that designs and installs rooftop solar energy systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. We work with homeowners as well as SME manufacturers, factories and warehouses across the UAE.

We are a small, founder-led team. You will work directly with the co-founders, see how every deal is put together, and have a real impact on how the company grows.

The Role

We are looking for a Sales & Business Development Intern to find new commercial clients, start conversations with them, and help us close solar projects. You earn a percentage of the value of every project you bring in and close.

Position: Sales & Business Development Intern (Part-Time)

Location: Hybrid. Outreach from anywhere, plus in-person client meetings and site visits when needed

Commitment: Part-time, flexible hours, task-based, no minimum hours

Compensation: Commission, a competitive percentage of the project value you close

Reports to: Co-founders

This role is task-based, not time-based. We set no minimum hours and do not track attendance. Your performance is measured by the leads you generate, the meetings you book and the projects you close. You decide when and how much you work, as long as you stay responsive with active leads and clients.

What you'll do

• Find leads. Research manufacturers, warehouses and other high-energy businesses using our lead database, LinkedIn, Google Maps and industry directories.

• Reach out. Contact decision makers by email, phone, LinkedIn and WhatsApp, and follow up consistently.

• Qualify. Learn about each business: roof space, monthly electricity bill, operating hours and who owns the building.

• Collect what we need for a proposal. Gather electricity bills and site details so our engineering team can design the system.

• Join meetings and site visits (when required). Attend client meetings with the founders and help present proposals, savings and payback.

• Follow up and close. Handle questions and objections and keep deals moving until contracts are signed.

• Track your pipeline. Keep every lead updated in our shared tracker and share a short weekly update.

• Support marketing. Help with LinkedIn content, project case studies, sales one-pagers and industry events.

Who we're looking for

You do not need solar experience. We will teach you the technical and financial basics. What matters is your hunger, your willingness to learn and your commitment to getting better every day.

Requirements:

• University student or recent graduate in business, marketing, engineering, sustainability, or a related field

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Comfortable cold calling and speaking with business owners and managers

• Self-motivated and organised, with the discipline to work without close supervision

• Based in the UAE and able to attend occasional meetings with clients

Big plus if you have:

• Fluency in Arabic

• UAE driving license

• Previous sales, customer service, or outreach experience

• An existing network in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial businesses

• Interest in renewable energy and sustainability

What you get

• Commission on every deal you close. A competitive percentage of the project value, with no cap. Commercial solar projects are high-value, so a single closed deal can be significant.

• Training. Solar technology, the economics of commercial solar, and B2B sales, taught by the founders.

• Support on every deal. Leads, proposal templates, and our engineering team to handle system design and technical questions.

• Real experience. Direct exposure to how a startup finds, prices and closes projects, plus a reference letter for strong performers.

Room to grow: This internship can become a full-time role. As the company grows, you can explore other parts of the business and move up or across into operations, technical work like engineering and system design, or creative work like marketing and content, depending on what you want to learn.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity for a motivated student or recent graduate to learn B2B sales in one of the UAE's fastest-growing industries, working directly alongside the founders of an early-stage solar company. You will speak with business owners and decision makers across the country, take part in real commercial solar projects from first contact to signed contract, and see firsthand how a startup finds, prices and wins new business.

Your results will be visible and your earnings are tied directly to what you close. As the company grows, so will the opportunities available to you.

If you are hungry to learn, comfortable talking to people, and want to build a career in renewable energy, we encourage you to apply.
