## Description

Role Summary: Complete physical site control over all remaining structural work, spatial geometric alignment, high-performance waterproofing, and the execution of premium, world class internal and external architectural finishes.

Position Title: Senior Civil / Site Engineer (Structural & Finishes)

Location: Somalia (Full-Time, On-Site Resident)

Reporting Hierarchy: Reports directly to the Senior Project Manager / Owner

Project Standard: International 4/5-Star Luxury Specification

Core Performance Areas & Responsibilities

A. Structural Execution & Verification

• Blueprint Compliance: Maintain ironclad site oversight over all concrete reinforcement operations, advanced formwork strikes, masonry alignments, and architectural structural steel integration.

• Defect Mitigation: Perform structural inspections across all site sectors to immediately log, tag, and correct honeycombing, spatial variance, or deflection before work advances.

B. Premium Finish Control (FF&E & Fit-Out)

• Geometric Precision: Enforce millimeter-level accuracy regarding wall verticality, floor leveling, right-angle plastering, and seamless joints for large-format premium tiles and natural marble slabs.

• Drywall & Ceiling Interfacing: Supervise framing and multi-layered drywall configurations to ensure pristine surfaces capable of supporting luxury decorative treatments and integrated concealed lighting valleys.

C. Sound Isolation & Advanced Waterproofing

• Acoustic Enclosures: Directly monitor the technical build-out of guestroom separation walls, ensuring strict adherence to decibel-drop acoustic insulation specifications and edge sealing techniques.

• Moisture Defeated Infrastructure: Enforce multi-stage, heavily tested waterproofing protocols across high-risk zones, including guestroom bathrooms, institutional commercial kitchens, subterranean basements, and exposed flat-roof zones.

D. Logistics, Safety & Documentation

• Material Ledger Control: Optimize bulk raw material storage, control exact consumption batching, minimize waste of high-cost imported finishes, and handle secure on-site distribution.

• Comprehensive Site Logging: Generate precise, legally defensible daily engineering journals, clear site photos, formal Requests for Information (RFIs), and accurate as-built redlines.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized, accredited university.

• Professional Tenure: Minimum of 7–10+ years of active site engineering experience, showcasing a distinct emphasis on delivering luxury commercial interiors, 5-star fit-outs, or premium residential developments.

• Operational Mindset: An obsessive, zero-tolerance eye for finish quality and cosmetic alignments, paired with clear authority when managing large site crews and subcontractors.
