## Description

Our Client

A leading organization is looking for an experienced Director – Market Operations & Facilities Management to lead the development, launch and operations of a large-scale retail and wholesale market destination in Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

You will lead the market from pre-opening and commercial development through full operations, with responsibility for building the operating model, developing the business plan, establishing the team and driving long-term commercial performance.

The role combines market operations, commercial and leasing, asset and facilities management, logistics and financial performance, with a longer-term focus on supporting the development and expansion of similar market destinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-opening, mobilization and ongoing operations of a large-scale retail, wholesale and fresh-food market, including development of the operating model, business plan, team structure and SOPs.

• Drive commercial performance through tenant/trader mix, leasing, occupancy, rental income, ancillary revenues and strong tenant relationships.

• Own the annual business plan, budget and P&L, with accountability for revenue, profitability, OPEX and overall asset performance.

• Oversee day-to-day market operations including traders, customer experience, loading and unloading, vehicle movement, storage, security, cleaning and waste management.

• Lead asset and facilities management across MEP, preventive and corrective maintenance, utilities, service providers, parking and lifecycle planning.

• Oversee logistics, warehousing and cold-chain operations while ensuring compliance with food safety, HSE and relevant regulatory requirements.

• Build strong relationships with government authorities, tenants, traders, suppliers, logistics partners and other key stakeholders.

• Support the development and expansion of future market destinations, establishing a scalable operating and commercial model.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven experience in pre-opening, greenfield development, mobilization or building a large-scale operation from the ground up.

• Strong commercial and P&L capability, including leasing, tenant management, business planning, budgeting and revenue growth.

• Solid understanding of asset and facilities management, logistics, service-provider management and large-scale operational environments.

• GCC experience preferred.
