Key Responsibilities: - Project Execution & Site Supervision • Supervise and monitor daily MEP activities at the construction site. • Ensure all MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, local authority regulations, and contract requirements. • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure smooth project execution. • Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies, conflicts, or design issues. • Conduct site inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications. Planning & Coordination • Prepare and monitor project work schedules and resource requirements. • Coordinate procurement and delivery of MEP materials, equipment, and tools. • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of works. • Attend project progress meetings and provide technical inputs and updates. • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities. Quality Control • Ensure all MEP installations meet quality standards and approved shop drawings. • Conduct inspections and prepare snag lists for rectification. • Monitor compliance with project quality plans and inspection procedures. • Coordinate with QA/QC personnel for inspections and approvals. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and site HSE requirements. • Identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions. • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site audits. • Ensure safe working practices are followed by all site personnel and subcontractors. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain site records, daily reports, progress reports, and inspection records. • Prepare and submit RFIs, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents. • Monitor project progress against schedules and report delays or risks to management. • Assist in preparation of variation orders, claims, and project closeout documentation. • Coordinate with authorities and consultants for inspections and approvals. Testing & Commissioning • Supervise testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and ELV systems. • Ensure all systems perform according to design requirements and regulatory standards. • Coordinate final inspections and handover documentation. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. • Valid UAE Driving License preferred. Experience • Minimum 4–8 years of experience in MEP construction projects. • GCC/UAE contracting company experience preferred. • Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects. • Familiarity with local authority requirements and approvals in the UAE. Technical Skills • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite. • Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Understanding of testing and commissioning procedures. • Familiarity with project planning and scheduling software is an advantage. • Knowledge of UAE building codes, DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, and municipality regulations.
