Hiring: Middleware Engineer

Location: Muscat, Oman

Work Mode: Onsite

Experience: 5 Years

Contract: 1 Year – Extendable

Budget: Maximum 1200 OMR/month

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days

Relocation: Mandatory

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Middleware Engineer with strong expertise in IBM API Connect, IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM MQ, and ActiveMQ.

The candidate will be responsible for API and integration development, messaging, middleware support, transaction tracing, security, performance monitoring, DevOps automation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

API & Integration Development

• Design, implement, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect.

• Develop and orchestrate integration flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE).

• Develop and maintain integration solutions and support Change Requests.

• Work with REST/SOAP APIs and integration interfaces.

Messaging & Middleware

• Configure and optimize IBM MQ and ActiveMQ.

• Develop messaging and integration flows.

• Work with middleware components such as DB Node, Kafka Node, and HTTP Node.

Security

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.

• Work with OAuth2, JWT, TLS, and SAML.

• Follow data security and middleware governance requirements.

Performance & Troubleshooting

• Monitor middleware runtimes and optimize performance.

• Troubleshoot integration and production issues.

• Perform log analysis and root-cause analysis.

DevOps & Automation

• Automate build, deployment, and configuration activities.

• Work with Jenkins, UrbanCode, and/or Azure DevOps.

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Production Support

• Provide L1/L2 middleware support.

• Handle production incidents and perform RCA.

• Support middleware and payment-system environments.
